They’re called magical gems.
These reindeer ornaments are made up of renewable resources.
The antlers are palm tree fibers, the face is from coconut shells, and the gem is made of reindeer droppings.
The gems are sanitized and painted before product production begins.
The handmade ornaments have sold across the United States since 2008.
"We really care about the environment. When we can put something like this together using renewable resources, it's just a great fit. And yes, we like the design,” said Susie Ohley, Development Advocate.
Gem sales have helped raise more than $50,000 for the Miller Park Zoological Society.
