LEXINGTON - The McLean County Coroner is investigating the drowning death of an eighteen month-old Lexington child. McLean County Coroner Beth Kimmerling says emergency crews responded to a call and pulled 18-month-old James Wilburn from a bathtub in a Lexington home. Kimmerling says early information suggests James' mother put him in the tub and found him face down in the water twenty minutes later. James wasn't breathing. He was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. He lived with his mother and an adult man. An autopsy shows James' preliminary cause of death is drowning. More tests have been ordered. State police and the McLean County sheriff are also investigating.
