Metamora Driver Appears in Court on Warrant
A Metamora driver, accused of driving under the influence when he collided with a Peoria Police paddy wagon, was in court Wednesday. 28 year old Robert Groth appeared before a judge to face a 2008 misdemeanor domestic battery warrant, according to court officials. The judge set a new court date of October 22nd. Meantime, Groth is also facing a DUI warrant from Woodford County and is also facing a slew of traffic citations for the Tuesday morning wreck. Both Groth and Officer Jim Hartman were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
