A mobile home was destroyed by fire Wednesday in Bloomington and one fireman was slightly injured fighting the blaze.According to a release from the fire department, a double wide mobile home at 26 Snapdragon Lane was considered a total loss. One of the two occupants , at home at the time of the fire, got out safely before firemen arrived. The occupants didn't have insurance. Fire investigators say the home had a roof leak above the furnace room due to the recent heavy rains. One of the homeowners, firemen said, had placed a blanket on top of the furnace to absorb the water. The furnace was turned on overnight due to the chilly morning temperatures. It was determined the blanket left on top of the furnace ignited and caused the fire. The Red Cross was called to assist the homeowners. One fireman sustained a slight injury.
