Motown artist B. Taylor works with several musical celebrities and has even performed for President Obama.
The producers of hit reality television shows like, "Jersey Shore" and "Real Housewives of Atlanta" are making a series about Taylor's life and upbringing.
Taylor was a star athlete at Dunlap High School and Navy veteran before starting his music career. Friday, the cameras were rolling when city leaders declared October 25th “B. Taylor Day."
"You don't have to be from the bigger cities, and you can do positive things. You might get off track, but you can stay focused and be really positive and your dreams do come true because I'm a living witness out of Peoria, Illinois, that dreams happen."
The reality show is set to air sometime in January or February.
