New Jumbotron Will Light Up Dozer Park

A big, new addition is coming to the Chiefs' ballpark.
PEORIA – A big, new addition will soon be lighting up Dozer Park.

Workers are finishing up a jumbotron screen at the Chiefs’ ballpark.

President Rocky Vonachen said the nearly $500,000 dollar upgrade will be a crowd pleaser. He said it’s four and half times larger than the old screen and it will give fans a more interactive experience.

He said, “It's basically what you would see at a Busch Stadium or what you would see what Wrigley wants to do up there, just on a smaller scale. The quality of it is high definition quality so it's going to be very clear.”

Vonachen said the screen will allow for staff to do more instant replays and crowd shots. You can get your first look at the Jumbotron on Saturday, August 17 at the Chiefs’ next home game.
