Peoria Fire Department Investigating "Suspicious" Sunday Morning Fire

The fire happened around 4:30 Sunday morning.
PEORIA – The Peoria fire department is investigating a suspicious fire that did nearly $20,000 damage to a vacant home.

Fire crews responded to 915 West Russell Street in Peoria at 4:30 Sunday morning.

It took the help of more than 25 firefighters to knock out the blaze.

The Battalion Chief said several small fires were started inside the home, causing heavy smoke from the first and second floors.

This fire is being investigated as Arson.
