Average retail gas prices in Peoria have fallen 1.6 cents per gallon in the past week, according to a news release Monday by GasBuddy.com. Prices were 27.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago but are 8.5 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. Senior Petroleum Analyst Patrick DeHaan says while the situation in Syria bears watching, the hurricane season remains lackluster so far and prices have remained nearly level.
