Average retail gas prices in Peoria have risen 5.2 cents per gallon in the past week, according to a new survey released Tuesday by GasBuddy.com. Prices were 29.2 cents per gallon lower than a year ago but were 3.6 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. Senior Petroluem Analyst Patrick DeHaan says while Syria has dominated the news, so far it has caused a relatively small blip in gasoline prices.
