Peoria Police Looking for Carjacking Suspects

A woman leaving work at Unity-Point Health Methodist Hospital Monday night had her car stolen after two men pulled her out of it and hit her with a gun.

PEORIA - Police have now recovered the 2002 Blue Ford Escape stolen around 11:00 Monday night.  They are thanking the public for helping them locate the vehicle.


A woman leaving work at Unity-Point Health Methodist Hospital Monday night had her car stolen after two men pulled her out of it and hit her with a gun.


Police released the photo of two men whom they call persons of interest.

Police describe the suspects in this case  as two black males between the ages of eighteen and twenty-five.


Police say the victim was leaving her shift at the hospital and getting into her car.

Police say the men hit the victim several times with a handgun and then fled in her car, which also had her purse and cell phone inside.
 
The victim reports that the men took off in her vehicle heading toward the Main Street hill.
