Peoria Riverfront Museum Celebrates One Year With Free Admission

The Peoria Riverfront Museum has officially been open for one year.
PEORIA – It’s a milestone day for the Peoria Riverfront Museum. The facility is offering free admission for those who want to come and celebrate.

October 20 marks the one year anniversary of the museum. Guests received free admission and parking until 5 P.M.

Other activities included Halloween themed crafts and stories.

Interim CEO and President Debbi Ritschel said the free day is a ‘thank you’ to the public for helping to support the facility. “We had a lot of corporate partners, we have 3,800 members, and they all helped build the building. It took a long time, a lot of planning but the milestone is that we're one year old. We're open, people are enjoying us.”

The Museum is preparing for a number of new exhibits, coming this winter and next spring.

Visitors will be able to see everything from specialized glass to a collection from Ripley’s Believe It Or Not.
