Peoria Symphony Orchestra Benefit Concert

PEORIA - The Peoria Symphony Orchestra will take the stage tonight to raise money for storm victims.

PEORIA - The Peoria Symphony Orchestra will take the stage tonight to raise money for storm victims.

It starts at seven tonight at the Peoria Civic Center.

All mayors from Peoria, East Peoria, Pekin, and Washington will be there.

Tickets are twenty dollars and are available at the box office beginning at six this evening.

They are also available by calling or visiting the Peoria Symphony Orchestra box office.

Everyone involved in the concert is donating their time and resources, so that all proceeds will be donated to the American Red Cross Illinois Tornado Recovery.

Civic Center Manager"Staff is donating all their time and labor.  Everybody’s donating everything to make this happen. So, all the proceeds that come in for this concert will go directly to the Red Cross relief efforts,” said Jim Wetherington, Peoria Civic Center Manager.

The Central Illinois Youth Symphony will also be performing before the show in the lobby beginning at six this evening.
