Peoria Teen Charged With Firing Weapon
A Peoria teenager, who police say shot a firearm just hours after he attended the latest Don't Shoot call in by police. 17 year old Martell Perkins appeared in court Friday on charges of unlawful possession of a firearm by a street gang member and unlawful possession and use of a firearm. His bond was set at 150 thousand dollars. Peoria County State's Attorney Jerry Brady said in a statement Perkins ignored the warnings at the Wednesday night Don't Shoot call in session. The Don't Shoot initiative is an effort to rid Peoria of gun violence.
