Peoria Teen Sentenced for Convenience Store Holdup

Peoria Teen Sentenced for Convenience Store Robbery

One of two Peoria teenagers, indicted in connection with a year old convenience store holdup, pleaded guilty Monday and was sentenced to three years in prison. 19 year old Sabin Williams entered the plea during his court appearance. It's not clear if Williams is eligible for prison boot camp. Williams' co defendant, Lawrence Coleman pleaded guilty last summer to the same crime and was sentenced but was recommended for boot camp. The men were charged with the January 2013 robbery of the 7 11 21 Groceries on Main Street. Although the suspects were only charged with one robbery, police say there had been a series of holdups to businesses during a two month period and some businesses had been hit multiple times.
