A Peoria woman, arrested in connection with a January attempted armed robbery, was sentenced Wednesday to 10 years in prison, according to jail officials. 26 year old Jamesa Williams pleaded guilty to attempted armed robbery while a weapon charge was dropped. Those charges stem from a holdup attempt of Lincoln Food Mart on January 20th. Police claim Williams entered the store with a shotgun, aimed the gun at an employee but a second employee emerged from a bathroom and wrestled the weapon away from the suspect and held her until police arrived.
