A Peoria man, indicted in connection with a nearly two year old homicide, went on trial Monday, according to court officials. 20 year old Terrance Tuson is facing two counts of murder, one count of attempted murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Those charges stem from the killing of 20 year old Shannon Elmore who was shot to death in a parked car near Columbia Terrace and Ellis in Peoria in October of 2011. Authorities say although they don't believe Tuson was the triggerman, he's being held accountable. A second man, the alleged triggerman is awaiting trial.
