A Peoria man was sentenced Wednesday to 70 years in prison for a two year old homicide. 21 year old Terrance Tuson was found guilty of murder, attempted murder and aggravated discharge of a firearm. Those charges stem from the killing of 20 year old Shannon Elmore who was shot to death in a parked car near Columbia Terrace and Ellis in October of 2011. Authorities don't believe Tuson was the triggerman but he was held accountable. Under state law, Tuson must serve 100 percent of the 45 years he received for the murder charge and 85 percent of the consecutive 25 year sentence he received for the attempted murder.
