Peorian Sentenced for Attacking Witness
A Peoria man , accused of participating in an attack on a witness in a murder trial was sentenced Thursday to five years in prison, according to jail officials. 24 year old Marcus Ellis pleaded guilty to harrassment of a witness. His co defendant, Cameron Foster has already been sentenced to 12 years in prison. Police claim the witness who testified at the Dominick Sanders murder trial was attacked later in the 400 block of Homestead. Sanders was convicted of killing Nick Renfro in May of 2010 and wounding Renfro's mother and is now serving a 95 year prison sentence.
