A Peoria man, who pleaded guilty to attempted armed robbery in connection with a year old shooting incident, was sentenced Friday to 26 years in prison, according to prosecutors. 22 year old Juan Nesbit received his sentence just a few days after testifying against co defendant Aaron Frazier in connection with the same shooting outside Hedgehill Apartments in December 2011. The victim was critically wounded with spine, skull fracture and a brain injury. Nesbit claimed the shooting was the result of a drug deal and robbery attempt. Meantime, Frazier will be sentenced in October for his role in the crime.
