Post-Thanksgiving Workout Warriors Start Early

PEORIA - Thanksgiving may have been a big eating day for you, but some people aren't just shopping to work it all off.

Many people start working out for New Year’s, but others are starting even earlier.

Landmark Gym in Peoria had a few early risers this morning, hitting the weights and the cardio machines, in order to melt away those pounds.

Getting to the gym after a big day of feasting could be tricky, but some say it's a necessary evil, with even more holiday meals on the way.

"It's caused me to come back into the gym and starting working out more. I noticed I've gained weight throughout the years and this is the time of season that I start to eat more, so now I'm going to have to start working out more," said Brady Sain.

"Well, I mean, you're fat the next day and it's hard to even roll out of bed and get up and do anything. You just have to get up and do it,” said David Stortz.

New members can get the rest of the year free if they sign up for a membership for 2014.
