BLOOMINGTON - In less than two weeks, two big rock bands will be performing to benefit tornado victims at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington.

After the news of the tornadoes that swept through Central Illinois, several bands expressed interest in helping out.  "Rock to the Rescue," a non-profit group headlined by Styx and REO Speedwagon, will help raise funds for tornado relief.

The two bands will lead the show, and they're working to add others. Booking officials at the coliseum set a Dec. 4 date for the show.

The concert will have reserved seating for the tornado victims, and all of the proceeds will go help them get back on their feet.

"Everybody really dropped everything to get this done so quickly. I'm so glad that we had this date available, that we could pull this together,” said Traci Andracke, booking coordinator for U.S. Cellular.

Tickets go on sale for the benefit concert at 10 a.m. Saturday. Prices range from $28 -$58. If you’re interested in donating, click here.
