Salvation Army Makes Final Push for Donations

The Salvation Army of McLean is still accepting donations for Red Kettle Campaign
BLOOMINGTON – The Salvation Army of McLean County is making its final push for donations.
The “Make a Difference” Red Kettle Campaign ends Tuesday night and the Salvation Army is behind on its goal.
Bell ringers still need to raise more than $36,000.
That money will help fund programs, such as the food pantry and the Safe Harbor homeless shelter.
The Salvation Army stresses that no donation is too small.
Salvation Army Development Director Aly Wrezinski says, “I’m hoping we can reach our goal because we are really seeing that the need in 2014 could possibly be a bit higher than what it was in 2013, so we’re just hoping to raise the finds to be able to help the people who need it the most.”
The bells will ring until 6:00 P.M. Tuesday.
