Sheridan Shooting Suspect Out on Bond

The man who was arrested for Thursday's Peoria shooting bonded out of jail Saturday morning.
PEORIA - The man who was arrested for Thursday's Peoria shooting bonded out of jail Saturday morning.

Thursday night police arrested 24-year-old Alfred Hopson.   He was officially charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of a firearm without a FOID card.

Hopson is accused of shooting a man near the intersection of Sheridan and McClure. His bond was set at $1,000 and reports tell us the State's Attorney's Office reduced his charges.

Police have recovered two weapons but are still investigating the circumstances which led to the shooting. Anyone with information is asked to call Peoria Police or Crime stoppers, (309)673-9000.
