Some Home Invasion Suspects Have Criminal Record

Five men are in custody for a string of home invasions in the area.
PEORIA – Peoria police are learning more about the men they believe were part of a home invasion ring which hit several homes in the area.

20-year-old Blair Johnson, 22-year-old Marvin Payton, 19-year-old Stefan Crayton and 22-year-old Lorenzo Crayton were arrested and taken to the Peoria County Jail.

WMBD 31 News has learned that Stefan Crayton and Marvin Payton have both been convicted of prior felonies. In fact, according to court records,  Payton was just released from prison in August and is being held for violating his parole.  Johnson and Lorenzo Crayton also have a criminal history.

The four men join 43-year-old Perry Rosetto behind bars. He was arrested on Monday.

Johnson, Stefan Crayton, and Rosetto were each charged Wednesday with armed robbery and home invasion and their bond set at a half million dollars. Jail officials say Lorenzo Crayton was released Wednesday evening without being charged. Marvin Payton is the only suspect who has yet to be formally charged.

Police believe they have all those involved in custody. Police Chief Steve Settingsgaard said it’s a big relief for police and Peoria residents.
