PEORIA - One teacher wants to make sure all tornado victims have the chance to get financial assistance.
David Quinn teaches US history and geography at Oak Grove West in Peoria.
He lost his home and three vehicles in last month’s storms.
Students at Limestone Walters School raised $1,000 for Quinn by selling t-shirts, but he’s not keeping it for himself.
“There are a lot of people that didn't have insurance and lost an awful lot. We're going to be okay. I want to try to help others out. There are a lot of people with needs
right now,” said David Quinn.
Quinn plans to give the money to Crossroads Methodist Church to help other victims, especially those who don’t have insurance.
He’s currently living in a rental home and is getting a new van tonight.
