Students Help Community in Morton

Students at Morton Junior High School are also taking action.
MORTON - Students at Morton Junior High School are also taking action. Around 425 kids volunteered throughout the community this morning.  Its part of the Help-a-Thon project the school is involved with for the first time. Junior high students helped out at several places including nursing homes, libraries, food banks, and the Morton Fire Department. Students say assisting around town is a good way to help paint a
positive image.

7th grader Quinton Ford says, “If you actually do stuff for the community, the community thrives.  And more people are going to come and the population is going to get bigger and it's going to be a better community."

Students were able to help out in the community for about 2 hours this morning.
