Sunday's Snow Showers Cause Trouble For Illinois Drivers

PEORIA - Dozens of wrecks are to blame from Sunday's snow showers.
A little more than half an inch of snow fell in Peoria on Sunday and more in other spots.

The Illinois State Police say they responded to more than 50 snow-related accidents Sunday.
ISP reported 3 accidents were with injuries but appeared to be minor.

Trooper Dustin Pierce says we were bound to see snow in Central Illinois at some point.
"People need to slow down, that's the mean thing", says Pierce.

He says if you plan on traveling when there's inclement weather, take your time getting to your destination and plan for extra time in your commute.

Another round of snow is possible later this weekend, Dec 14.
