Three Central Illinois mayors are among several Illinois mayors calling on the state's congressional delegation Wednesday to reform the immigration laws, claiming it would help boost the economy. Peoria Mayor Jim Ardis, Bloomington Mayor Tari Renner and Normal Mayor Chris Koos put their names to that letter. The effort was led by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and an advocacy group led by Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. The mayors aren't pushing a certain bill but claim the reform will create jobs and raise revenues.
