A Tonica man, accused of the attempted murder of another LaSalle County man last month was back in court Monday. 28 year old Richard Felton, who was arrested in Iowa, pleaded NOT GUILTY Monday to attempted murder and aggravated battery indictments. However, the LaSalle County State's Attorney Brian Towne Monday filed additional charges of home invasion and residential burglary. Felton waived his right to a grand jury indictment and the judge set the next court date of November 15th. Those charges stem from the shooting of Jeremy Wade who was critically wounded when shot in the face and fell forty feet from the Sandy Ford Bridge. No word what prompted the shooting. Felton is being held on three million dollar bond.
