WMBD/WYZZ-TV - DOWNS, Ill. - Tri-Valley is one win away from making the first state championship appearance in school history.
But the Vikings (12-0) aren't nervous.
"The seniors really felt like they got cheated last year with the way that things ended up," said Tri-Valley coach Josh Roop. "They worked really hard over the summer and stayed focues all year on individual and team goals taht they have.
Tri-Valley hosts unbeaten Maroa-Fosyth in the Class 1A state semifinals Saturday.
"This game, we've been preparing like any other game," said senior Braden Herrman. "It's just another game to us. We're excited to be in the semifinals, not worried about it. We're pretty confident in oruselves and what we can do."
