Two New Polls Show Obama Approval Rating Dropping
Two new polls show President Obama's approval rating tumbling. In Illinois, the Democratic firm Public Policy Polling found Obama's approval rating falling to 50 percent in a state he carried by 17 points just a year ago. His biggest support fell among women voters and Hispanic voters. Without his overwhelming support among African Americans, his approval rating would be in the low 40s. The liberal website Daily Kos says this represents a very bad sign for Democrats heading into 2014. According to that website, Governor Quinn's approval rating is even worse at only 34 percent.  In the swing state of Ohio, a new Quinnipiac poll has Obama's approval rating at just 34 percent with 61 percent disapproving. According to the assistant director of the poll, Obama is approved by only 30 percent of men, 38 percent of women, 27 percent of white voters and 83 percent of black voters.
