Two Peorians Plead NOT GUILTY to Attempted Abduction
Two Peoria men, indicted last week for attempted child abduction, pleaded NOT GUILTY Tuesday in Woodford County Circuit Court. 20 year old Jonathan Nunnally and 18 year old Tyler Merriman are also charged with possession of a stolen vehicle. Prosecutors claim the pair was in a stolen car when they allegedly attempted to lure a 9 year old boy to their vehicle in Washburn. The boy didn't approach the car but instead reported the incident to a policeman who stopped the vehicle. Meantime, Marshall County police are still investigating a similar incident in which a ten year old girl said two men tried to lure her to their car as she road to school on her bike. That incident on September 11th prompted lockdowns or extra security at three area school districts. No arrests have been made in the Marshall County incident.
