U of I Trustees Approve New Budget and Pay for its President

U of I Trustees Approve New Budget
The University of Illinois Board of Trustees approved performance based incentive pay for its President Thursday. The board's action reflects a move away from retention incentives for senior administrators in higher education which tend to make longevity a premium rather than results. The board said this new approach is used by top executives in the private sector and many other public universities. President Robert Easter's base salary increased to $462,375 effect August 16th.
