U.S. Cellular Coliseum Reports Second Quarter Loss

The U.S. Cellular Coliseum lost money in its second quarter totaling more than $239,000.
BLOOMINGTON - The U.S. Cellular Coliseum lost money in its second quarter totaling more than $239,000.

After posting a record high last fiscal year, the current year is starting slower than hoped.

According to our news partner, WJBC Radio, Coliseum Vice President Bart Rogers says the first half of the fiscal year is slower.

Headliner shows included Bassnectar, Rascal Flatts, Foreigner and 38 Special, along with the debut of Bloomington Thunder hockey.

But those events didn't perform as well as hoped.
About 48,000 people paid to see the events. Contribution to the local economy was about $2.7 million during the August to October period.
