Winter Weather Advisory in Effect

First significant snow accumulation of the season expected Friday into Saturday
First significant snowfall of the season is expected across central Illinois for Friday evening into Saturday morning.  


Short term:  Quiet conditions for this evening before the storm moves in.  A few clouds hang around with temperatures not nearly as cold for the overnight.

Temperatures should hover at or slightly above the freezing mark before snow moves in Friday afternoon.

A Winter Weather Advisory in effect for most of central Illinois from 3pm Friday through 6am Saturday.  Snow look to start by late afternoon from south to north, becoming more widespread during the mid to late evening hours and continuing overnight.  Snow should start to taper off by mid day Saturday.
