Zambrano Happy with Rehab Start

WMBD/WYZZ-TV - PEORIA, Ill. -- Chicago Cubs' right-hander Carlos Zambrano pitched four innings in a rehab assignment with the Peoria Chiefs Friday night.

Beloit beat the Chiefs 4-1 in ten innings before 5,610 fans at O'Brien Field. Zambrano allowed just an unearned run on three hits with three walks and four strikeouts.

Zambrano is rehabbing a back injury. He's been on the disabled list since July 1.

With the loss, Peoria falls to 5-10 in the second half and has dropped each of its last three series.
