We are starting off today on the cooler side... in the low 60s here in Peoria, but in the mid 50s for many of us in Central Illinois. If you prefer the warmer weather, no worries, because the sunshine and southerly wind this afternoon will warm us up into the low 80s.
Tonight, clouds are going to start to build ahead of tomorrow's storms. We are looking to stay dry in the overnight hours, though. Lows reaching down into the low 60s.
The storm chances return tomorrow late morning. By around noon, it looks like we will see scattered thunderstorms across much of central Illinois. These will continue throughout the afternoon and evening. Highs in the low 80s.
Scattered storm chances will continue through the weekend. Saturday and Sunday will be more hot and humid than Friday, with mostly cloudy skies and highs in the mid to upper 80s.
