Glad Tidings Assembly of God partnering with Convoy of Hope

Glad Tidings Assembly of God in East Peoria is partnering with Convoy of Hope on a tornado relief effort today, Nov. 19 through Nov. 21.

Storm victims needing supplies can come to the church, 2201 E. Washington St., to receive hygiene kits, water, ready-to-eat meals, trash cans, bags, rakes, gloves and totes.

Those who cannot go to the church due to storm damage should call 694-4433, and provide a name and address, and volunteers will deliver the items.

Bags of food will be available from noon until 9 p.m.

**For those with food allergies, the church has partnered with an organization that donated allergy-free foods. Allergy-free foods available are gluten-free products, nut-free products, milk, rice milk, coconut milk, gluten-free snacks, special baby formula, soy and rice products, baby water and nursery water.

The church will also have a portable shower at the back of its building. Soap, shampoo and towels will be provided.

The church will serve a noon meal on Nov. 20 and Nov. 21, and an evening meal from 4-7 p.m. Nov. 19-21 for those affected by the storm.

Donations of non-perishable items, diapers, pet items, blankets and allegry-free products are being accepted.
