Clouds have been the rule for Thursday across much of central Illinois, with a few areas even seeing a brief shower.  Clouds will break later Thursday evening, setting us up for a nice end to the work week and pleasant start to the holiday weekend.

Clouds will decrease gradually through the evening hours, turning mostly clear for the overnight.  Lows should fall to the low to mid 50's across the area.

We should start the day off with abundant sunshine.  A few passing clouds may roll in around mid day to the afternoon.  Highs will be very pleasant, with temperatures topping out in the mid 70's.

Holiday Weekend:

Comfortable temperatures will carry over to the start of the weekend.  Warmer air mass with higher humidity will move in for Sunday and Monday, bringing our temperatures back to the low to mid 80's.  Enough instability with a cut off low just to our west, that we could see an isolated shower/storm or two for Sunday and Monday.  Chances are pretty low, so outdoor plans still look to be O.K. for now.

8 Day Outlook:

Isolated shower/storm chance will continue into Tuesday.  Much better chances for rain will move in late Wednesday night into Thursday.  Temperatures look to stay above average for the next several days.
