Warmest temperatures of the year so far, and also the warmest since early October, as may topped out in the mid to upper 80's.  A few areas topped the 90º Wednesday afternoon.

Any rain activity will move to our northeast this evening, leaving us with partly cloudy conditions.  Mild, muggy, and breezy for the rest of the overnight with lows falling into the mid 60's.

We'll begin the day with a mixture of sun and clouds.   Showers and storms may develop late in the afternoon, primarily west of the Illinois River.  A few of those storms could have some gusty winds and hail associated with them.  Rain will spread across the area through the evening.  Severe weather will not be expected for the overnight hours for our area.

Morning showers will continue, and should push out of the area close to lunch time.  Clouds will slowly decrease through the afternoon with a slight cool down.  Highs will top out in the mid 70's.

8 Day Outlook:

Saturday looks great with a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the mid 70's.  Showers still look like a good possibility for Mother's Day, continuing into Monday morning.  Much of next week will bring a return of near normal temperatures.
