A very cool start to the month of May.  The high in Peoria as of 5:30pm was 51º, which is 18º below average.  It's the coolest start to the month of May since 2005, when we topped out with a high of 50º that year.

A few isolated light showers will roll through the area.  Rain chances should start to move out after midnight.  Temperatures will fall to the lower 40's.

Mostly cloudy conditions with below average temperatures will continue.  We may see a few breaks in the clouds late in the afternoon, which could help temperatures push near 60º.

Very pleasant conditions will move in on Saturday.  Temperatures will warm slightly, moving into the mid 60's for both Saturday and Sunday, with a mix of sun and clouds.

8 Day Outlook:

Big warm up coming in the extended.  Highs should top out in the mid 70's for the first half and middle of next week, and push the 80º mark by late in the week.  We will see storm chances increase for the second half of the work week.
