Demetrios Sanders joined WMBD/WYZZ as a reporter in January of 2021 and he is excited to be in Central Illinois!
He comes to Peoria from Terre Haute, Indiana where he worked as an MMJ. In Terre Haute, he covered stories such as the federal death penalty resuming for the first time in 17 years.
Demetrios is from Ecorse, Michigan, a small city right outside of Detroit. In 2017, he graduated from Central Michigan University with a degree in Broadcasting and Cinematic Arts. Fire Up Chips!
When he isn’t covering stories, you can find Demetrios rooting on his favorite sports teams. He is a big fan of the Michigan Wolverines, Detroit Tigers, and Detroit Pistons.
