Clay Gordon is an award-winning anchor, reporter and producer. He joined WMBD News in June of 2014.

You can watch Clay every morning from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. on This Morning and on Good Day Central Iliinois from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. If you aren’t up that early you can watch him on WMBD News at Noon.

Clay came from WVII ABC-7 and WFVX Fox 22 in Bangor, Maine, where he received the Maine Association of Broadcasters “Spot News” award for his report titled “Infant Death.” The story investigated why two children died at the same Bangor household six months apart.

He is 2011 graduate of Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana, where he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Journalism. While in school, Clay worked as a sideline reporter for the Big Ten Network and was an intern reporter for Fox National News in New York City in 2010.

Clay was born and raised in the north suburbs of Chicago where he attended New Trier High School.

Outside of work, Clay is a part-time nationally certified firefighter, and an Emergency Medical Technician.

In his free time he enjoys refereeing youth hockey.
