Hannah Hilyard has been a reporter at WMBD since June 2014. She grew up right here in central Illinois, going to Dunlap schools from first grade all the way through 12th grade.
After high school, Hannah headed to Bowling Green State University (go Falcons!) in Bowling Green, Ohio, where she graduated Summa Cum Laude with a degree in broadcast journalism and a minor in political science. During her time in college, Hannah reported, produced and anchored for BGSU’s student television station, BG24 News. She also interned at WTOL in Toledo, Ohio, and KGWN in Cheyenne, WY.
When she is not out and about reporting, Hannah spends most of her time talking about or watching the Detroit Tigers, and her most prized possession is her signed Justin Verlander jersey.
Hannah is excited to be back in Peoria to report in the town she calls home.
