Ali Reid joined the WMBD/WYZZ news team in June of 2018 as Morning Show Reporter.
Ali is a Virginia native, born just outside of D.C., and raised in Southern New Jersey. She is a proud graduate of Emerson College, where she received her B.S. in Broadcast Journalism.
During her time at Emerson, she anchored, reported and produced for WEBN News. With them, she had the opportunity to cover President Donald Trump's Inauguration, Boston Fashion Week, and report on the red carpet of the Emmy Awards.
She spent the past four years interning with iHeart Radio, as well as interning with PBS under the High School Quiz Show, NPR radio in Philadelphia, PA, The CW Network in Washington, D.C., Dirty Water Media in Boston, MA, Birchbox in New York City, NY, and Sweety High in Los Angeles, CA. She most recently interned at Inside Edition as their news intern in New York City. She has conducted interviews with celebrities and Olympic athletes, has worked press for some of the biggest concerts in the Greater Boston Area such as Kiss108 Jingleball and Boston Calling, and most recently worked press on the red carpet of the Tony Awards at Radio City Music Hall in NYC, Kids' Choice Awards and Hollywood Film Awards in Los Angeles, CA.
Ali is a Gracie Award recipient and a Trish Lawless Community Journalism Award winner.
When she's not reporting the news, you can find her catching up with friends, shopping, trying a new restaurant in town, or at the figure skating rink.
