BELLEVUE, Ill.– Habitat for Humanity and Team Rubicon partnered together Saturday to help a family demolish and remove their unsafe garage. Peoria City Admin for Team Rubicon, Lucy Loftus says the removal was ordered by the Village of Bellevue.

Although Team Rubicon typically responds to national disasters across the United States, Loftus says servicing local communities is a great practice for larger disasters.

Saturday’s demolition was at no cost to the family but Loftus says they are always looking for volunteers. To find out how you can participate, visit TeamRubiconUSA dot org.
