Alabama cancels rest of tour, including Tailgate N’ Tallboys performance

PEORIA, Ill. — The country and southern rock band Alabama has cancelled the rest of its tour for the rest of the year, meaning the previously-scheduled Tailgate N’ Tallboys performance is a no-go.

The band said the tour is cancelled due to lead singer Randy Owen’s continuing health issues.

Leon Edwards, the vice president of Inked Entertainment, the organizers behind Tailgate N’ Tallboys, confirmed the Peoria show will not be rescheduled.

“People who’ve purchased tickets will be notified by the end of the week how to get refunds,” Edwards said in an email.

The show was originally set for 7 p.m. Sept. 14 at the Peoria Civic Center, after the concert series moved from the Riverfront.

In a Facebook post, Tailgate N’ Tallboys wrote:

It is currently unknown if musical acts Diamond Rio and Mason Ramsey, who were on tour with Alabama, are still coming to the River City.
