Peoria Community Against Violence will be hosting Hopefest on Saturday September 21, 2019 – from Noon to 5:00 p.m. – at Trewyn Middle School (1419 Folkers Peoria, Illinois 61605).
PCAV is partnering with local social organizations, community stakeholders, and community volunteers to reach out an offer hope. The goal of this event is for local residents to grab a hold of hope provided an atmosphere designed to meet people where they are. Various services, such as education and prevention will be offered to the Peoria community.
The individuals/organizations participating will be PCAV members and other community stakeholders, such as OSF Strive, Peoria District 150, Unity Point Behavioral Health, Moonlight GED, Major League Barber Shop, Career Link, Trauma Recovery Program, Heartland Clinic, Peoria Grown, OSF Car A Van, and many other local hope givers. Free services such as natural hair care, free haircuts for chidden, blood pressure screening, HIV testing, free food, and entertainment.
