PEKIN, ILL. — Brett Reid fired three rounds under par and captured D.A. Points Youth Golf Championship Thursday at Pekin County Club.

Reid, the Minnesota state high school champ, shot a final round 70 and finished five shots better than the field. He carded a 70 in Tuesday’s opening round and a 71 on Wednesday.

The 54-hole American Journal Golf Association championship is hosted by PGA Tour veteran D.A. Points, a native of Pekin, Illinois.
