Alyssa Paldo

General Assignment Reporter apaldo@wmbd.com

Alyssa is excited to hold her dream job, reporting the news, a career she’s known she’s wanted to do since she was 3 years-old. A native of Palatine, Illinois, Alyssa is thrilled to be back in her home state and to call Central Illinois home.

Alyssa is a very proud Hoosier, attending Indiana University in Bloomington, Indiana for college. She graduated with honors, double-majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Spanish with a minor in Marketing from the Kelley School of Business. During college, Alyssa anchored and reported for Indiana University’s television station, IUSTV News. She enjoyed covering the 36-hour Indiana University Dance Marathon benefiting Riley Children’s Hospital, interviewing the President of Indiana University and telling many different students’ stories. She spent a semester abroad in Seville, Spain studying at the University of Seville as a part of the Communications, New Media, and Journalism program. She also interned with WISH-TV in Indianapolis, IN.

When she’s not bringing you the news, Alyssa is probably spending time with her family, friends or her 3 cats, trying out a new recipe, or planning (or just dreaming about) her next trip to one of the exotic destinations on her list.

Alyssa would love to hear from you. Contact her at apaldo@wmbd.com with your story ideas, restaurant recommendations or just to say hello!
